My wife loves Art. Not in a snobbish way, but as art appreciation.

She is quite talented, and I hope she finally gets to spend some time doing the things she loves to do.

Raising the kids is not an easy chore. She has only one more to go, and then Empty nester!

She’s just going to have to make time, I don’t plan on leaving anytime soon.

The Boomers standing in line behind me are going to find out what a sandwich really tastes like.

I took her to a Salvador Dali exhibit a few years ago. It was spectacular. Weird, creative, genius.

Being a parrot is one way to put it. A slacker, couch potato.

Evidently another wizard felt the same way.

Both of those wizards talk about the important things I think, the essentials; while I just ramble on about the incidentals.

And then someone comes along thinking outside the box and paying tribute to Cher, makes us re think the mindless barrage of ideas that never get past Broca.

Sal had no problem thinking outside the Box.

In all truth, sometimes I think it is easier to understand his work than interpret the gyrations of the market.

Contemplation of the Mediterranean has helped my frenetic pace to see things better.

Professor LLoyd would give us the theory. Then he would say, “What does that have to do with the little urchin you are going to be working with tomorrow morning?”

He wanted us to move from theory to reality; to apply the core ideas.

I finally came to understand that the starting line wasn’t when the bell rang and class started.

I was merely a passenger along with those students as their clock was meshed with mine.

Would the wheels of life continue to roll, or do we need to worry about flat tires, or wings that melted because we flew too close to the sun?

LLoyd would say: “Essentials vs Incidentals”. I interpreted it to mean find the highest priorities and focus on them.

As a parent, be there. As a Husband, wife, child; be there.

As a life long friend, be there.

If we get core ideas right, it seems the Masters all express themselves differently, but we can still recognize their unique contributions.

I try not to get too confused flipping from one technique to another. I am aware of different disciplines, then focus on my own style.

The Incidentals:
