I have had a career with various responsibilities. I have enjoyed leadership roles for awhile in the public domain, and loved the teaching business for many years. I have successfully run several of my own businesses too, making and losing millions of dollars!

 

As I have gotten older, I have become a humble student once again, spending over 15 years studying financial instruments and how they moved. The journey has been arduous but rewarding. I am passionate about the markets, and love the mental challenge of the game.

 

I probably lost over a million dollars in this business too. I discovered that the skills learned from scholarly professions were inadequate preparation for trading.

 

I studied many different authors, heeding some good advice from a friend: “You will spend a lot of money on your education in this business, one way or another.”

 

I am glad I listened. The money I lost was in a simulation account. It bought me time to develop my own style and to mature as a trader, learning to weed out the roller coaster ride of my emotions, as well as allowing me to see how this business really works.

 

Consider me as a friend, and I pass on that valuable advice to you.
